The Canine Athletes of Wingshooting the Wild

Extraordinary consideration has been devoted to the development of the hunting packages to focus on the quality of the hunting experience and the challenge of Wild Birds.

Our carefully trained pointing dogs are of exceptional breeding. They hold point and are steady to wing and shot. Depending on the type of hunt, we also use flushing dogs for retrieving. The pointing dogs of Wingshooting the Wild have experience running covers in all the regions we hunt. Our dogs have been trained to range and handle for our guides with consideration for the type of hunt and the pace the hunters desired. Wingshooting the WIld spends significant time training and conditioning our dogs and horses year round, so they can perform their duties to the best of their abilities. We take pride in our athletes, and our goal is to make sure you have the best experience possible in the field.

We encourage our guests to bring their own dogs should they desire. Out hunts in Alaska, Idaho and Georgia present excellent training opportunities and experiences for both pointing and flushing dogs - types of cover and objectives, wildness of birds, social environments, the introduction of horses and aircraft travel in a hunting environment. Our guides are more than willing to help with the handling of dogs for the convenience of the guests. They are also willing to share training techniques if requested. The kennel arrangements vary at each location and will be discussed in detail during the reservation process. Wingshooting the Wild successfully travels with our dogs all over the US, so we can help you decide what works best for your situation.
